Welcome!I’m Rachel, I’ve been doing this work for over 20 years and here’s what I’ve learned: Real, lasting change happens when three things are present.
Safety
Depth
Movement
Safety means you don’t have to perform, impress, minimize, or hold it together. You don’t have to be the competent one. You just show up and trust that I can handle whatever comes, and support you through it.
Depth means we look beneath the surface to understand the patterns that have been quietly shaping your life. Overfunctioning. People pleasing. Self-criticism. The “I’m fine” reflex. We get curious about where those strategies came from, how they once made sense, and why they may no longer serve you.
Movement means you start to notice new choices becoming possible. Not because you’re forcing yourself to be different, but because you understand yourself… and feel compassion for yourself. That’s what allows us the real opportunity to make different choices.
What it’s like to work with me.
I’ll be both direct and kind. I’m curious and engaged - even in the moments when we’re just sitting with something, letting it breathe.
Sessions are conversational and collaborative. We’ll move at a pace that’s comfortable and meaningful. You shouldn’t feel hurried - nor should it feel like we’re circling the same problems without going anywhere.
When it supports our work, I’ll help you find some lightness. Therapy doesn’t have to be all intensity, all the time. In fact - that can make things feel worse.
Sometimes we laugh at the absurdity of being human. Sometimes we sit quietly with something tender. Both matter.
Licensure,
Training, and Values
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Psychology.
My work is grounded in attachment science, relational therapy, and nervous system awareness. I have advanced training in anxiety, depression, trauma, mindfulness-based approaches, and parts-informed work.
I aim to show up authentically, not as a blank slate, but as someone who’s done her own work. I approach my role with humility and integrity. I won’t ask you to explore places I’m not prepared to support you through.
You can trust me to be prepared, communicative, and professional. I respect your time, your investment, and the courage it takes to show up. Every client is different and the space we create in session is uniquely yours.
